Bill Pear started in the automotive business in 1960 and his son Jeff joined him in 1986. Between the two, they have 55 years of experience in the sales and service of automobiles. Bill has operated in the town of Yarmouth for a total of 44 years.

It all started in West Yarmouth, across from Fruitland variety store, in a little gas station owned by Bill Mather. Bill Pear had a little used car lot which was one of the first in Yarmouth. From there he moved to the Esso Station is South Yarmouth. Then on to Station Avenue where he was a Subaru Dealer for over 15 yrs. Then to the corner of Rt. 28 and Pond Street. Now Bass River Motors is located back on Station Avenue at the Sunoco station on the corner of Old Townhouse rd.
